Intra-uterine insemination, IUI:
Intra-uterine insemination is the simplest AHR technique.
This involves preparing the sperm by centrifugation or migration and instilling a sperm suspension at the base of the uterus. This technique can treat glar problems and minor sperm deficiencies. It is also used for idiopathic sterility.
The technique is simple both for patients and the AHR centre, it is inexpensive and produces noticeable results which of course vary depending on age and the associated ovulation control techniques: 5-15% according to published studies.
